Welcome to lawalumni.com. Lawalumni.com is a website provided for lawyer groups to enable group members to stay in touch with each other professionally and personally. Lawalumni.com provides contact and practice area information for your ex-classmates and ex-colleagues from your law school or old law firm. Curious about an ex-colleague? Need to find a lawyer in a particular practice area? In a particular city or state? Lawalumni.com is ready. Locate an old friend or colleague to chat with or make a referral. Links are provided for each featured group. Each group contains a profile for each member of the group. Members can update their profiles or search for other members by name, location, and practice area. Member profiles also contain personal and professional information that members care to share with each other. Viewing personal information is restricted to group members only. Lawalumni.com has new and exciting features. Members can post private news announcements that are viewable only by group members. Additionally, there is a public news area for each group. To post news that is viewable only by group members click on the "post news" button on any of the group pages. To post to the public news area, just email your story to the webmaster. The webmaster reserves the right to edit, delete or refuse any story.
NEW - List Server Lawalumni.com has chat features that allow members to communicate in real time via a pop-up window that can remain active on the users desktop while they work - even after they have logged off of the lawalumni.com site. Lawalumni.com features a document sharing exchange that allows members to post pleadings, memos and other documents for sharing by the members. These documents can be searched by keywords in the description or text. The documents can be uploaded, searched and downloaded at no charge by members. Lawalumni.com also has a forum for user discussion. This forum contains user topics ranging from law practice management issues to procedural questions and substantive law. Users can search the forum for previous topics, or add new discussion topics. A member has the option to be notified by email of any new responses to any topic they choose. The forum is restricted to members and members are cautioned that forum discussions do not constitute legal advice nor do they imply the formation of any attorney client or consultation arrangement. The forum is for education and discussion between lawyers. |
